Exciting opportunity to join a friendly, enthusiastic 2 site GP practice. We are looking to recruit a 6 session salaried GP into our lovely team. The position is on a fixed term basis with a possibility of an extension.

Main duties of the job

In accordance with the practice timetable, the post-holder will be available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery, telephone & e-consultations, triage calls, home visits, medicine management and associated paperwork. In general the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.

  • In accordance with the Practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make him/herself available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, triage calls, triage visits, checking and signing of repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
  • Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.

We are a 4 Partner Training GMS Practice serving approximately 9,000 patients. With a team of Salaried GPs, Nurses, admin and reception staff. A Practice Manager and Assistant Practice Manager.

As a Practice we pride ourselves in providing the best possible primary care services for our patients. We are consistently high QOF achievers and our recent CQC inspection rated good in all areas. Our clinical system is TPP System One.
